SSC Membership

The Southport Skating Club offers up to two $500 scholarships to currently active home-club members who are graduating high school seniors or current college students and have tested/competed/worked in a skating related position within the past 12 months. Applicant must be a current registered full member in good standing of the Southport Skating Club for the previous four years. Club members may re-apply annually for scholarship. Once a Southport Skating Club member has been awarded the scholarship, they are no longer eligible to receive subsequent scholarships.

Scholarship is awarded based on club/skating activities, club volunteer hours (must have volunteered time in excess of mandatory service hours), academic performance (GPA of 3.0 weighted or un-weighted), strong leadership abilities, positive attitude, and conduct. Qualified applicants should request a scholarship packet via email: membership@southportskatingclub.org. All applications must be submitted by April 15th of the current year.
